International symposium entitled "Women in Science and Education" is held at Kobe University Rokkou Hall on December 19(Mon) from 13:30 to 17:30. Symposium is composed of 3 lectures, panel discussion and display of Madam Curie. Dr. Gulser Corat of UNESCO talk about “Where are the Women? Gender equality in Science and education”. Professor Ann Nalley of 2006 ACS presidenttalk about "Leadership among women in science in the USA". Dr. Yoshie Souma talk about "IYC and women scientists". Panel discussion is carried out toencourage women scientists. Date&Place: Symposium; December 19 from 13:30 to 17:30 at Rokkou hall in Kobe University.
